Following the death of Catelyn Stark during the third season of “Game of Thrones,” many fans have been expecting the character to return in the form of Lady Stoneheart. When she didn’t return for the Season 4 finale, fans expected her to appear in the Season 5 finale, but that didn’t happen either. Finally, after not appearing in Season 6, fans have turned to a new rumor.

Just like fans did with the character’s mother, many believe a Lord Stoneheart version of Robb Stark will return to the series, which is news to actor Richard Madden. Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Madden was asked about the rumor, to which he responded, “I’ve not heard anything, of course.”

Madden was so unaware of the rumor that he initially thought the interview was speaking about the Lady Stoneheart character. “That would be my mother,” said Madden.

While the rumor is just likely a rumor, if something about the character does exist, Madden said he wouldn’t know about it. “I suppose I wouldn’t have the phone call, because they’re very secretive about everything, unless you get some of the cast drunk and they’ll tell you what they are doing.”

“Or you’ll accidentally sit there with someone and say, ‘How is the filming going,’ and they’ll say ‘Great yeah I was on set with so and so the other day,’ and you go ‘Don’t tell me that, because then I know that you know that character again!’” said Madden.

As for coming back to the show, Madden doesn’t even know if he would want to return. “I don’t know, I’d have to read… I stopped reading the books a couple years ago because the show kept changing, and I’d much rather just watch it and see what came next.”

Like Madden, don’t expect Michelle Fairley’s Cat Stark character to return. In May, Fairley landed a role in the Starz original series, “The White Princess.” The actress was also reported to be searching for new roles, a move that usually signifies the end of an actor’s run on another show.

Season 7 of “Game of Thrones” is expected to premiere in mid-2017.
