Gigi Hadid turned heads on the red carpet at the Much Music Video Awards in Toronto on Sunday night. She was dressed in an all-white midriff-baring outfit. She and her ex, musician Cody Simpson, avoided each other at the ceremony. Hadid looked confident in her edgy dress, which she completed with a personalized leather jacket.
The 20-year-old showed off her svelte figure and enviable legs in a daring cream-textured pencil skirt designed by Canadian designer Mikhael Kale, according to Hello. The ensemble featured a thigh-high slit with beaded embellishments on both the skirt and the crop top. The supermodel paired the outfit with a matching crop top to show off her toned abs. She completed the look in a pair of nude leather Christian Louboutin heels.
Showing off her high-fashion credentials, Gigi added a twist to her outfit with a personalized white leather jacket, emblazoned with her surname, with hashtag in gold on the back. It also featured gold buckles on the sleeves. Her blond locks were left loose and sideswept into a sleek and straight style, while makeup was kept minimal for a fresh-faced look. Gigi opted for pink lips and flashed her pink manicure.
Cody, on the other hand, was dressed in a white T-shirt, navy trousers and a black biker jacket. He teamed the look with a pair of blue Vans slip-on sneakers. The 18-year-old singer’s blond hair was swept back with a side part. Once inside the venue, he removed his jacket. He put on a black beanie with the logo of famed Los Angeles venue the Viper Room embroidered on it.
Meanwhile, Gigi was all smiles as she later took to the stage during the ceremony to join the evening’s co-host Ed Sheeran to present the award for best video to artist the Weeknd.
The model has been busy in recent weeks, since the news broke about her split from Simpson. She is now the face of Maybelline New York. An insider told Us Weekly that one reason for the separation is that Cody and Gigi are rarely able to spend quality time together.
