Out of the dozens of nominees for the 2017 Golden Globes, only a portion have a realistic chance of winning. While some awards are up for grabs, it would be surprising to see a few heavy favorites go home empty-handed Sunday night.

There are five nominees for best motion picture, musical or comedy, but there won’t be much drama Sunday night. “La La Land” is considered a virtual lock with 1/50 odds. That means someone betting on the film to win the award would have to risk $50 just to win $1.

The race for best motion picture, drama is much tighter. “Manchester By The Sea” is favored with 2/3 odds, but it has some competition from “Moonlight,” which has 7/5 odds. None of the five nominees have worse than 25/1 odds.

The stars of the best picture favorites are also expected to be rewarded for their work. Ryan Gosling has 1/10 odds to take home the award for best actor in a motion picture, comedy or musical, and his biggest competition comes from Jonah Hill in “War Dogs.” If Casey Affleck doesn’t win for his role in “Manchester By The Sea” with 2/7 odds, Denzel Washington would have the best chance of pulling off the upset because of his 13/5 odds for his role in “Fences.”

It shouldn’t be difficult to predict who will win the two awards recognizing the best actresses in film over the past year. Emma Stone’s performance in “La La Land” gives her 1/6 odds, while Natalie Portman has 1/ 5 odds to take home the award for her role in “Jackie.”

The closest race of all the major awards comes in best television series, drama. “The Crown” is a slight favorite at 4/5, but “WestWorld” has a chance to win with 11/4 odds.
