'Good Nutrition Can Change Everything': Elle Macpherson

Supermodel Elle Macpherson says that growing old has affected her confidence as a model. The 51-year-old blond, who was once hailed as "The Body," admitted that feeling good and healthy inside is now more important to her than her looks.

"There's one thing being 20 and gorgeous with legs up to your armpits and beautiful tight skin," the supermodel-turned-entrepreneur told Australia talk show Sunrise on Wednesday, according to People. "And there's another thing to be 51." Today she is the co-founder and co-owner of the premium luxury wellness business WelleCo, which makes special alkaline diets to make women look younger.

But for Macpherson, not being in her 20s is making her a less confident woman. "Finally you get to the stage and say, 'I have been known to be one of the most beautiful women in the world and felt really not confident and sure of myself,' " she said. The long-legged beauty has now changed her sleeping and eating habits and started giving more attention to her inner beauty.

“I hadn't really understood my body was deprived from good nutrition,” said the supermodel, adding that she has started “sleeping more and relaxing a little more” in her life. “Good nutrition can change everything,” she added. Macpherson credits her youthful looks to her Super Elixir Alkalising Greens supplement, which keeps her body in alkaline form. The mommy to two children told the magazine that she even keeps a urine tester kit in her bag to keep a check on her pH balance.

However, she does not worry about her wrinkles anymore because she has learned to tackle body's aging by nourishing her cells “from the inside.” The healthy living strategy has really helped her “looking and feeling good." The mother of two, who is married to billionaire Jeffrey Soffer, credits her success in the modeling and beauty business to doing what she loves and following her passion. The gorgeous model with long hair believes that if “you love what you do and do what you love, you never work a day in your life.”
