Good Wife
Louis Canning (Michael J. Fox, left) and Alicia Florrick (Juliana Margulies, right) will face off in court in episode 8 of "The Good Wife" Season 6. CBS

It has been awhile since fans of “The Good Wife” got a taste of the Florrick-Canning rivalry. Alicia (Juliana Margulies), after all, has been in pretty busy in Season 6 what with keeping Cary (Matt Czuchry) out of prison and jumpstarting her campaign for State’s Attorney. However, the synopsis for episode 8 of the CBS series reveals that Louis Canning (Michael J. Fox) will be back in the new episode to go head-to-head with Alicia on a new case.

According to the synopsis, the two rivals will meet again when Alicia takes up the case of a college rape victim. When the case moves from a university hearing to civil court, Louis Canning will sign on to represent the opposition and the two will square off in court to the delight of "The Good Wife" fans.

Meanwhile, Alicia’s campaign continues as Eli (Alan Cumming) and Elfman (Steven Pasquale) form a political focus group to gauge Alicia’s popularity after the blow to her candidacy from the less than stellar interview with Frank Prady (David Hyde Pierce). Plus, the promo for the episode reveals that Alicia might be headed for another setback with a photo op that Eli calls a disaster.

However, nobody is in more hot water than Cary, who is dangerously close to going to prison for quite a long time. Cary wants to testify in court, but Alicia and Diane (Christine Baranski) think it is a bad idea -- however he is running out of options. Will Cary end up back behind bars?
