Google’s LG-built Nexus 5X, tied to the model number “H791,” has been discounted ahead of the heavily rumored Nexus 2016 release.
The 16 GB storage-clad LG Nexus 5X is now available for just $229.99 on eBay. The original price of this handset is $499.99. With this deal, buyers can save $270, i.e., a discount of 54 percent.
This discounted GSM factory unlocked international variant is now available in carbon black and quartz white hues. So far, a total of 1,528 units have been sold and the prominent seller 232 Technologies has a whopping 99.2 percent positive rating on eBay.
This offer is valid only for a limited period of time and the device is not compatible with CDMA carriers like Verizon, Sprint and Boost, among others. As this Nexus 5X is an international variant, EU charger comes with the model. However, the seller will add an adapter as part of the device bundle.
For those planning to purchase this handset, here is a quick summary of its key specifications. This smartphone sports a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display, complemented by 1,080 x 1,920 pixels resolution and Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
Under the hood, a hexa-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 808) processor powers the Nexus 5X. The hardware configurations are backed by a modest 2 GB of RAM. On the software front, being a Google device, Android 6.0 Marshmallow runs the handset out of the box.
When it comes to camera configuration, this device houses a 12.3-megapixel rear-facing shooter and a generous 5-megapixel front-facing snapper for selfies and video chats. The primary camera unit comes with dual-LED flash and supports laser autofocus. Other than the 16 GB native storage capacity, there is no microSD card slot for expansion.
Battery-wise, LG has added a modest 2,700 mAh non-removable battery unit. This device features a Type-C 1.0 reversible connector, support for NFC and fingerprint sensor. The Type C connector will reportedly allow the Nexus 5X to get 4 hours of battery life by charging it for just 10 minutes.
