“Gotham” definitely won’t be short on crime now that Falcone (John Doman) and Maroni (David Zayas) have to share Arkham. In "Gotham" Season 1, episode 5, Fish (Jada Pinkett Smith) and the Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) will both be adjusting to the new hierarchy in the Gotham gangs and trying to use it to their advantage. Meanwhile, Bullock (Donal Logue) and Gordon (Ben McKenzie) will have their hands full with new murders, according to the latest episode synopsis.
It’s hard to track a killer when he isn’t doing the killing. So, instead Bullock and Gordon will be looking for a drug dealer. There's a “new street drug that causes euphoria [and] then death.” It seems likely that Bullock will once again be unsympathetic to the victims, but he’ll have to be by Gordon’s side to solve the case.
While the only good cop in Gotham is distracted, the battle for Falcone’s power will get more intense. Maroni had a huge win last week when he got a waste facility in Arkham, and everyone in town knows that. Fish is pleased to discover that Falcone can be knocked off of his throne. She’ll be working with Liza (Makenzie Leigh) to “plot against Falcone.”
The Penguin will continue to work his way up in the ranks with Maroni and get the up-and-coming mob boss to confide in him. However, there will be some trust issues after Maroni finds out that Cobblepot used to work for Fish Mooney.
