David Mazouz plays the young billionaire Bruce Wayne in “Gotham” Season 3. Fox

“Gotham” Season 3 has an interesting new character up its sleeves. Ra’s Al Ghul, who will be played by “Game of Thrones” alum Alexander Siddig, will be joining the slew of new characters this season.

Siddig is best known for playing Prince Doran Martell in Seasons 5 and 6 of the hit HBO series, but he will be venturing into a different territory by portraying the head of the League of Shadows for the Fox series, according to Deadline. Ra’s Al Ghul will be introduced when young Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) tries to unravel the mysteries being kept by the Court of Owls after the winter break of “Gotham” Season 3.

The character has already made appearances in other series such as “Arrow” and “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” and he is a fan favorite villain first introduced in the Batman canon back in 1971.

Another villain being beefed up is the Riddler (Cory Michael Smith), who swore to exact revenge on his former friend, Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor). Smith even told Cinema Blend that the show provided a “really classy” look for the Riddler, and it would be quite different from his costumes in the comics or animated series.

“That’s kind of what we wanted. To give you some inside scoop, I do not have a cane yet, but I want one so badly for a few different reasons. I won't tell you all of them so I don't spoil anything, but I'm pitching very hard for a cane,” he said.

“Plus, we do have somewhere to go and add some stuff, so maybe in the future, there will be a cane. But I want him to be someone who deserves a [expletive] cane. He needs to be someone that's just begging for a cane,” he continued.

“Gotham” Season 3, episode 15, titled “How the Riddler Got His Name,” will return on April 24.
