Selina Kyle is getting ready to become the Catwoman. Fox

Things are going to change significantly for Selina Kyle (Carmen Bicondova) in “Gotham” Season 4 now that she is going to embrace her persona as the Catwoman.

This was revealed by Bicondova’s co-star David Mazouz, who plays the young Bruce Wayne in the Fox series. “Selina is also going to be transforming into Catwoman in a major way this season,” he told Comic Book. “She’s definitely going to be making a leap into her evolution as Selina, as Catwoman.”

As for himself, Mazouz said he is going to take on the “vigilante persona,” so he guaranteed to fans that “Batman is coming. Absolutely.” With their new lives to contend with, Bruce and Selina are probably going to be too busy to think about romance. Mazouz even said that their “relationship as we knew it before will really start to crumble because of certain events that happen early on in the season.”

On the other hand, the relationship between “prototype Catwoman” and Bruce as a masked vigilante “will be a different thing altogether.”

Gotham City already has its fair share of villains, but adding the Catwoman to the mix will give Detective Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) more problems to contend with. However, McKenzie is admittedly excited for his character to come face-to-face again with the Scarecrow. Scarecrow, or Jonathan Crane (Charlie Tahan), was first introduced during the 15th episode of the first season.

Gordon and his partner, Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue), had been chasing down his father, Gerald, for harvesting the adrenal glands of his murder victims. The Crane men went on the run, but Gerald died and Jonathan was cornered. In the end, Jonathan suffered from his father’s own experiment and was left in a constant state of terror.

It would be interesting to see how the show plans on reviving his storyline, and McKenzie personally agrees. “There are some villains that I’m a fan of that are in season four,” McKenzie told Comic Book Resources. “I’ve always been keen on the Scarecrow. It would be nice if the Scarecrow showed up.”

“Gotham” Season 4 will premiere on Sept. 28.
