Through all of the Saints Bountygate controversy, all anyone has heard is accounts of what New Orleans did.

Defensive Coordinator Greg Williams has admitted that the Saints had a pay-for-play system, but no hard evidence had been obtained.

That is, until now.

There is now audio proof that Williams implored his team to injure opposing players.

Before the Saints played the 49ers in this year's playoffs, Williams gave his team a speech in which he told Saints defenders to deliver illegal hits to San Francisco players.

Kill the head and the body will die. We've got to do everything in the world to make sure we kill Frank Gore's head.

At the end of his tirade, Williams made sure his team knew that he wasn't sorry for what he had just told them.

We never apologize for the way we compete.

Mike Silver of Yahoo Sports reports that the speech was made at the team's hotel on the night before the Saints lost to the 49ers for a chance to play in the NFC championship game.

The audio was recorded by documentary filmmaker Sean Pamphilon, who is working on a film about Steve Ace, New Orleans special teams coach who is suffering from ALS.

Here is the audio of Williams' speech. This video contains profanity.
