Khloe Kardashian was too upset about Jamie Sangouthai’s death to attend North West’s birthday party. Aunt Koko was nowhere to be seen Monday when her niece celebrated her 2nd birthday at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. She was reportedly too distraught to join most of the Kardashian-Jenner clan in the “happiest place on earth.”

Khloe was noticeably absent when Kim Kardashian West and her husband Kanye West threw their daughter a “Disney Adventure Party.” E! News reports that while Khloe had returned to Los Angeles after a short trip to Hawaii, she didn’t come to the party because she was too upset.

On Sunday, news broke that Sangouthai, a friend of Khloe's estranged husband Lamar Odom, had died because of an apparent heroin overdose. Before Khloe and Lamar separated, they saw Sangouthai frequently because he and Odom were said to be inseparable. Sangouthai was involved in many of Odom’s affairs and businesses and sometimes clashed with Khloe.

Khloe and Sangouthai’s love-hate relationship was documented in the couple’s reality show, “Khloe and Lamar.” They filmed the series as a spinoff of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” Sangouthai made regular appearances on the show, along with Khloe’s friend Malika Haqq. Khloe and Malika were in Hawaii for the weekend and they learned about the bad news just hours after Khloe gushed on Instagram about their wonderful trip.

Despite Khloe’s absence, North’s other aunts were able to join the fun. Kourtney Kardashian brought two of her kids along. Mason and Penelope Disick enjoyed the rides with their cousin and other friends and relatives. Kendall and Kylie Jenner also were present and so was Kylie’s rumored boyfriend Tyga and his son King Cairo.
