Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton confirmed they were dating this month after weeks of speculation, but things might have "already" fizzled, the latest cover of Life & Style magazine claims. Stefani apparently got spooked by her high-profile relationship with her fellow coach on NBC's "The Voice."

The headline reads: “Gwen & Blake: Over Already!” The bullets underneath say: “Gwen blindsides Blake -- all the details”; “What Blake did to try to keep her”; “Gwen’s big secret exposed” and “ 'The Voice’ execs beg them to fake it for ratings.”

Inside, the mag claims “Used to Love You” singer Stefani ended things with country star Shelton because she got “cold feet,” Gossip Cop reported Wednesday. “Gwen was feeling overwhelmed,” an insider said. “She found all the attention surrounding her and Blake to be too much and regretted how soon they made their relationship public.”

Even though the No Doubt singer “put on the brakes,” the insider said the stars could get back together since they spend hours on the set of “The Voice” together. It “could again lead to a spark one day,” the source said.

However, Gossip Cop, an online publication known for debunking celebrity hoaxes, wrote Life & Style’s cover story is nothing but a phony and said the magazine regularly fabricates stories.

One breakup that is real for Stefani, 46, is her divorce from Bush singer Gavin Rossdale. The couple filed for divorce in August. On the upside, she said the split has inspired some amazing music.

"I wish that all this wasn't happening, but it was part of my life journey. In my life I've had two really bad heartbreaks, but I've written some really incredible music out of it," she said in an interview with "The Tommy Show" on Washington, D.C.'s 94.7 FM Thursday. "Because of my situation right now I feel like I got back and listen to a lot of that stuff and I get sick. You look at the song and go, 'That was a red flag and that was a moment where I was feeling just as bad as I do today and why did I keep it up?' "
