Blake Shelton is nominated for three honors at the 2015 CMA Awards presentation in Nashville, Tennessee, but that’s not the only reason why Wednesday is a big night for the 39-year-old singer. Before the awards show, a representative of Shelton confirmed that “The Voice” judge is dating his co-star, Gwen Stefani.
The rep simply confirmed the rumors, but didn’t comment any further on their relationship.
Stefani’s representative also released a statement. “Gwen and Blake are longtime friends who have very recently started dating,” the rep told Perez Hilton.
Sources close to the two opened up to People magazine about their blossoming love life. “Blake and Gwen have begun dating,” one insider dished. “They’ve been supporting each other through a difficult time, and they’re really happy together.” The source added, “Everyone is thrilled because they’re both incredibly nice people.”
Rumors have been swirling ever since Shelton split from his wife of four years, Miranda Lambert, in July. Stefani ended her relationship with husband Gavin Rossdale the following month. Both Shelton and Stefani have been flirtatious on “The Voice,” and they were photographed leaving a Halloween party together over the weekend. Stefani is reportedly in Nashville, where Shelton is currently at the CMA Awards presentation. It’s unclear whether Stefani accompanied her beau, but there are no red-carpet photos of the two.
