Hannibal
Will Graham (Hugh Dancy, pictured) searches for Hannibal (Mads Mikkelsen, not pictured) in episode 2 of "Hannibal" Season 3. NBC

“Hannibal” returned to NBC Thursday with the premiere of Season 3, revealing a very different Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen). In “Antipasto," fans were given a tour of Dr. Lecter’s new life in Florence with Bedelia (Gillian Anderson) and the cannibal killer seems to be doing quite well for himself, even getting a job as the literary curator for a prestigious museum. However, something was missing in the big premiere – Will Graham (Hugh Dancy), whom fans last saw bleeding out on Hannibal’s floor. Will the criminal profiler return in episode 2, “Primavera?”

According to the synopsis for episode 2, the answer is yes! Now fully healed, Will will be searching for Hannibal and even has a hunch about where to find him, flying to Italy to track his attempted murderer down. Once he gets to Florence, though, he will draw the attention of a suspicious inspector. However, when the two realize they have the same goal, the pair will team up to locate Lecter.

That inspector will be none other than Inspector Rinaldo Pazzi, the well-known character from Thomas Harris’ “Hannibal” novel, upon which much of the series is based. In “Hannibal,” Pazzi tried to sell Hannibal’s location out to Mason Verger (Michael Pitt), but was killed by Hannibal himself before getting the chance. Fans already know that Mason is returning as a major character in Season 3, but fans will have to wait to see if everything plays out the same way. Italian actor Fortunato Cerlino (“Gomorrah”) will play Inspector Pazzi.

The promo for the episode teases more drama will occur. It seems that Hannibal knows Will and the rest of the people he left alive back home are searching for him. In fact, Bedelia accuses him of “drawing them to him.” In a chilling scene, Hannibal suggests the only way he can forgive Will is to eat him!
