A virtual world for everything Harry Potter called Pottermore is coming in October this year, according to creator J.K. Rowling.

Some fans are excited about the new online Potter Web site, but it is unclear what this site is really all about. The announcement was made through Youtube and received over 1.5 million views at the time this article was written.

Even though the site won't launch until fall, the news of Pottermore has been released as fans anticipate the final Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2, which opens Friday.
