An 8.8 magnitude earthquake in Chile that so far has killed 147 people triggered a tsunami warning across Hawaii, Russia, Japan and Australia Saturday morning.

In Hawaii, people in coastal areas were urged to evacuate before the expected arrival time of the tsunami.

The water was receding and its color was changed, according to reporters in Hawaii's Hilo Bay, KHON reported. The tsunami was expected to arrive there at 11:04 a.m. (4:04 p.m. EST) but at 11:14 a.m. no significant activity was occurring yet.

Fox' KHON television is streaming live coverage of the Hilo bay in Hawaii.
