HBOS Plc today announced that it had received notification that HBOS QUEST Ltd had purchased Ordinary 25p Shares in the Company. 36,617 Ordinary Shares were sold at a price per share of 10.59p.

The intention is that the shares will be held and released from the HBOS Qualifying Employee Trust (the Quest) to "certain participants of the HBOSS Sharesave Plan(s).

The Executive Directors of the company, it was announced in a statement, "remain potential beneficiaries and so interested, along with other participants, in 2,373,388 shares still held by the

QUEST.'
