Although their characters wed on TV almost a decade ago, Heather Locklear and beau Jack Wagner will not make it to the altar in real life.

Heather Locklear, who played Amanda Woodward on Melrose Place, is no longer engaged to Melrose co-star Jack Wagner, who played Peter Burns.

Jack and Heather are no longer engaged, Locklear's rep told People magazine.

The couple got engaged in August after dating for four years. No reason behind the split has been given.

The announcement comes on the heels of Locklear's scorching appearance on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -- Part 1 red carpet, in knee high leather boots and leather pants. She attended the premiere sans engagement ring.

Locklear's 14-year-old daughter Ava had supposedly been looking forward to be wedding and gave her mother her stamp of approval.

Ava was so excited when we told her, Locklear, 50, told People magazine after announcing her engagement to Wagner. She hugged Jack, said congratulations, and she immediately wanted to see the ring. Then she ran and Facebooked her new stepbrother.

This would have been the third marriage for Locklear, who turned 50 in September. She has formerly been married to Tommy Lee and Richie Sambora, who is the father of daughter Ava.
