In Thursday's Iowa GOP Presidential debate, rising star Herman Cain ended his closing remarks with a quote from a Pokémon song.

"A poet once said, 'life can be a challenge, life can seem impossible, but it's never easy when there's so much on the line,'" said Cain, the former CEO of Godfather's Pizza.

Previously, Cain attributed that same quote to the "closing song of the 2000 Olympics" at the Republican Leadership Conference in New Orleans on June 17.

The actually origin of that quote, however, is the theme song for "Pokémon: The Movie 2000." The song was written by Mervyn Warren & Mark Chait, produced by David Foster, and performed by singer Donna Summer.

New York Magazine first reported the story here.
