Heidi Montag and husband Spencer Pratt have fallen from their stardom on "The Hills" and say they wish they could take back much that made them famous.

The couple, known also together as "Speidi", attracted attention from the MTV scripted reality show "The Hills." Both found that their lives were turning in stressful directions based on publicity stunts that kept them in the public's eye.

The couple reported to the Daily Beast that their money has run dry and that they are living with Spencer's parents.

They stated that no matter what took place during their scripted lives, they were never apart, and that they played into what tabloids were saying about them.

"My whole million-dollar wardrobe - I would never wear that again," says Spencer. "They're props. Everything we were doing, we were buying props. I bought a big blue monster truck just to drive it on "The Hills" for an episode. Never drove it again."

Heidi also had highly publicized surgeries which comprised of over 13 different procedures including a chin reduction, brow lift, buttock augmentation, and enlarged breasts. She regretted the actions, stating "Obviously, I wish I didn't do it."

Spencer claims that their fame has hurt the relationship with their families, and Heidi stated that she no longer speaks to hers.

"We were living each other's mistakes," Spencer spoke of their experience. "Everything we were doing, in retrospect, was a mistake...What we learned is: You can be too famous."

However Spencer admitted, "If they called me right now and said, 'We want you to be on 'Jersey Shore' and be a bully, and we'll bring your paycheck back,' I'd say, 'Get me on a plane to Italy.' "
