A self-proclaimed vampire woman has been arrested after allegedly attacking an elderly man outside of a Hooters restaurant in Florida.

Josephine Rebecca Smith, 22, of Pensacola met Milton Ellis, 69, at a nearby gas station, according to police, the St. Petersburg Times reported.

Ellis invited her to hang out with him outside of a vacant Hooters until her ride came to pick her up.

He fell asleep in his motorized wheelchair and when he awoke, Smith was on top of him, the SPT reported.

I am a vampire. I am going to eat you, she told him, according to police, the Huffington Post reported.

After he fell asleep on the ground, he claims that she attacked him, started yelling that she was a vampire, that she was going to eat him and started biting him by his face and body, St. Petersburg police spokesperson Mike Puetz said, the SPT reported.

Ellis wheeled his way back to the same gas station where he and Smith met and called police.

The police found Smith at the Hooters location, half-naked and covered in blood, the SPT reported. Smith reportedly did not know what had transpired or why she was partly undressed. Ellis said Smith was clothed when she attacked him.

Ellis, who has been arrested before for offenses that include panhandling and trespassing, required stitches for his wounds, the SPT reported.

Smith was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault on a geriatric. Bail was set at $50,000.
