No true Christmas dinner is complete without a glazed ham. The tradition of having ham during the holidays, a tradition observed all over the world, goes back to the Norse custom of killing a boar and serving it to honor the gods. For those unfamiliar with how to cook the holiday delicacy, here is an easy five-step guide, courtesy of Pillsbury and Real Value Supermarket's glazed ham recipes, you can use to impress friends and family this Christmas.

To make this holiday favorite, you will need:

-1/4 cup of unsalted butter

-1/4 cup of maple syrup

-1/4 cup of honey

-1/4 cup of brown sugar

- 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard

-15-20 whole cloves

- A three to five pound pre-cooked ham.

Christmas ham recipe:

1. Combine melted butter, honey, maple syrup, brown sugar and mustard in a small bowl and mix the ingredients together until they form a smooth glaze.

2. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (or the temperature that is recommended on the packaging of your ham).

3. Now, begin prepping the ham. After putting the meat in a roasting pan, score the top of the ham in a checked design (like a tic-tac-toe board). Once the holes are made, push single cloves point down into the center of the scores. Cover the ham in half of the glaze created in step 1. See a demonstration video here from chef Curtis Stone here.

4. Roast the ham uncovered in the oven for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, cover the ham with the remaining glaze. Baste with pan drippings and cook for another 20 minutes.

5. Continue to baste every 15 minutes. Roast ham for 30 minutes more or until ham reaches 145 degrees Fahrenheit (roughly about 20 minutes per pound). Slice thinly, and then serve and enjoy!
