1. The State of Alabama's is having their Tax Free Weekend from Aug. 7-9, 2009. More information below:

2. The State of Connecticut Tax Free Week , it is from Aug. 15-22, 2009

3. The State of California has decided not to participate this year.

4. The State of Florida has decided not to participate this year.

5. The State of Georgia is having their Tax Free Weekend from July 3, 2009 - Aug. 2, 2009.

6. The State of Iowa's Tax Free Weekend is going to take place from Aug. 7-8, 2009

7. Louisiana's 2009 Sales Tax Holiday is going to take place from August 7-8, 2009.

Excludes the purchase of taxable services, automobiles, and meals

8. The State of Maryland has decided not to have a tax free weekend this year but has promised to brig it back in 2010 from Aug. 8, 2010, and ending on Aug. 14, 2010. For those of you looking for a tax free weekend nearby, travel to Virginia and Washington, D.C.

9. The state of Mississippi's Tax Free Weekend will take place from July 31-Aug. 1, 2009

10.The State of Missouri's Tax Free Weekend will take place from Aug. 7-9, 2009

School supplies under $50
Computer software under $350
Computers/computer equipment under $3,500
Note: Some cities and counties in Missouri elect not to participate.
Missouri is also offering a Show Me Green sales tax holiday event from April 19-25, 2009. This sales tax exemption applies to the purchase of qualifying energy star certified appliances, up to $1,500 each.

11.The State of New Mexico's Tax Free Weekend takes place from Aug. 7-9, 2009.

12. State of New York is unique to the other states listed, they allow
shoppers to be exempt from the 4% state sales tax 365 days per year.

13.The State of North Carolina's Tax Free Weekend will be from Aug. 7-9, 2009.
