Childhood per se is at stake as a surgery-obsessed, self-proclaimed 'Human Barbie' British mom gave her seven-year old daughter a Christmas present of £7,000 voucher for liposuction.

The incident has sparked controversies and questioned the increasing trend of sexualization of kids which makes them aware of their body images at a very tender age.

The liposuction voucher, however, is not the first bizarre gift that 'Human Barbie' Sarah Burge has presented her daughter Poppy as her birthday gift was a voucher for boob jobs.

Sarah has defended her action by saying, She asks for surgery all the time. She wants to look good and lipo is one of those procedures that will always come in handy. I see these vouchers as investing in her future, like saving money for her education.

Sarah told Closer Magazine: Poppy begged me for a boob job, so I gave her the voucher so she can have it after she's 16, when it's legal. If she develops naturally big boobs, she can have something else done with it.

Sarah is an event planner for plastic surgery and reportedly spent almost $1 million on her own plastic surgery endeavors.

When the world is talking against increasing sexualization of girl children and various child advocacy organizations and psychologists are trying to educate parents about protecting innocence and raising them as confident and successful adults, the incident of presenting gifts that makes a person sexually objectified by a body-obsessed mother will certainly harm the initiative taken by the concerned individuals.
