Casting rumors regarding the second big-screen installation of The Hunger Games trilogy, Catching Fire, have already started heating up. Though one heartthrob is out, three others might be in the final running.

Rumors began circulating that Robert Pattinson, most famously known as vampire Edward Cullen from the Twilight films, could star as Finnick Odair, a stunningly handsome chap from District 4 and one of the most skilled tributes.

But Pattinson dispelled the Hunger Games casting rumors while at the Cannes Film Festival.

I woke up this morning and saw all these things about me being cast in The Hunger Games, he told USA Today. I was kind of curious for a second. So I called my agent.

Alas, Robert Pattinson fans, the hunky 26-year-old did not get a positive response.

(My agent) was like 'No.' [He] was like 'No one's going to offer you that part,' he said, laughing. I was like, thanks for the reassurance.

However, E! Online reported that the final three actors might have been narrowed down for the role of the trident-wielding tribute. A source told the entertainment website that the top three names in the ring include: Armie Hammer (who played both Winklevoss brothers in The Social Network), Taylor Kitsch (former Friday Night Lights hunk and star of Battleship) and Garrett Hedlund (from TRON).

A Lionsgate rep said, As with the first film, we won't be confirming, denying or commenting on any casting rumors for this title. We will announce news wide when there is official casting news to announce.

The second installment of The Hunger Games will hit theaters on Nov. 23, 2013. Us Weekly reported that Lionsgate could announced its pick for the role of Finnick early this week.
