A first look at Hunger Games heroine, Katniss, as a Mattel Barbie has finally arrived. Entertainment Weekly released the first photos of the doll.

The Katniss doll was designed by Bill Greening. Dressed in the outfit that she wore into the Games, the Katniss Barbie is ready for action with a bow and arrow. The Barbie also features a miniature mockingjay pin, boots and her signature braid.

Greening told EW that he chose the Games outfit for the Barbie because this is where all the non-stop action takes place and is instantly recognizable by fans. The designer put a lot of details into creating the Katniss Barbie. The doll's minimalistic style and details -- such as her loosely braided hair and makeup-free look -- also really embody the heroic character Katniss, Greening explained.
