Although it’s not being released until November, fans are eagerly awaiting any information about “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2.” Luckily, they were gifted their first real look at the climactic finale courtesy of none other than Katniss Everdeen herself, actress Jennifer Lawrence.

Although fans and critics alike weren’t thrilled with the decision to turn Suzanne Collins’ third and final book in the franchise into a two-part movie, it allows for the silver screen version of the story to dive a little deeper into the [SPOILER ALERT] rebellion mission that Katniss leads against the Capitol in the final chapters of the “Hunger Games” trilogy. To properly tease that aspect of the film, the below photo (originally posted on Lawrence's Facebook) shows Katniss, Gale (Liam Hemsworth), Messalla (Evan Ross) and Finnick (Sam Claflin) decked out in full combat gear in what appears to be a Capitol-contested warzone.

Many were quick to notice that Lawrence posted the photo along with the caption: “6.9.15 #MockingjayPart2 #Unite.” As USA Today notes, this is obviously not the release date for the upcoming finale as that’s been previously announced as November 20. This leads many to suspect that the first trailer for “Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2” will arrive on June 9, less than one week from now. Previously, fans were treated to a motion poster, but this picture marks the first real look at the characters we’ve come to know and love.

As Variety reports, the new movie will see Katniss and President Snow face off in a final battle for the nation of Panem. In the books, Katniss leads a team, which includes an only slightly rehabilitated Peeta, on a daring mission to assassinate the evil dictator and win the revolution she inadvertently started.

Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Banks, Natalie Dormer, Woody Harrelson, Julianne Moore, Willow Shields, Jena Malone and the late Philip Seymour Hoffman will star in the film alongside Lawrence.
