Goggle launched an updated interface on Friday for the Apple iPhone which acts as a Google Control Panel, making it easy to switch between their popular services.

The new iPhone interface, dubbed iGoogle, is an improvement from the search giant's previous offering of a mobile specific page located at www. google.com/m, which offered users limited customization options. iPhone users can now access it directly through www.google.com/ig/i.

iGoogle users have more personalized access to Google's services, including its RSS reader, news on a range of topics, email, weather maps, stocks, online Tetris, crossword puzzles and more.

The updated version comes into direct competition with Netvibes, which launched its one iPhone specific version in August 2007.
