Inflation in developed economies fell last month as crude oil and food prices slowed their increases, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development said Tuesday.

The 34 nations in the OECD had levels of inflation at an annual rate of 2.5 percent in the year to April 2012, compared with 2.7 percent in the year to March 2012. Excluding food and energy, the annual inflation rate was broadly stable at 2 percent last month.
