Maksim Chmerkovskiy is out indefinitely on “Dancing With the Stars” Season 24, but he’s got a promise for fans.

The injured pro shared a video on Instagram with the caption, “Ah’ll be back.” The clip is set to Chamillionaire’s “Ridin’ Dirty.” In it, Maks rolls a suitcase while balancing on a knee walker.

He appears to be in good spirits despite having to call it quits early on “DWTS.” Hours before he showed off his new ride on Instagram, Maks posted a photo from a hospital room. He thanked fans for their “love and support,” assuring him he was taking the recovery process very seriously although his photo may suggest otherwise.

Peta Murgatroyd confirmed to Access Hollywood that her beau suffered muscle tears. She said he’ll need surgery and will be out for at least “a couple weeks.” Peta remains hopeful that Maks will return to the “DWTS” ballroom in Season 24.

“I think it’s been said that he has tears in his calf muscles, so it’s going to take a couple of weeks to get better,” she said. “So I hope he’s back out there in a couple weeks killing it again.”

Maks’ injury caught fans, friends and family alike off guard. Val Chmerkovskiy, who is competing against the elder Chmerkovskiy on “DWTS,” told Us Weekly he knew it was serious when his brother left the competition. Val told the publication he thought his big brother would shake it off as he had in the past.

“We’re tough dudes, tough love, that kind of runs in our family to suck it up and keep moving, but it was very shocking because I’ve never really seen my brother in pain before or like, be sidelined about anything,” he said. “He always keeps moving, so it’s hard. He’s always there for me. I’m always getting hurt, and he’s always taking care of me, so this was kind of a flipped situation.”

Maks’ partner Heather Morris will continue competing on “DWTS” Season 24 with troupe member Alan Bersten. The pair danced their first routine together in Week 2, wowing viewers with a jive. According to Bersten’s latest Instagram post they’re working on something “fun” for Vegas Week.

Tune in to Week 3 of “DWTS” Monday at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
