Semiconductor-related stocks are rallying this morning after Intel Corp. (Nasdaq: INTC), the world’s largest chipmaker, released superb fourth quarter results yesterday after the close and forecast first-quarter sales of at least $11.1 billion, above analyst estimates of $10.7 billion

As of 10:19 a.m. (EDT) KLA-Tencor Corp. (Nasdaq: KLAC) is up 5.95 percent; Applied Materials Inc. (Nasdaq: AMAT) is up 4.32 percent; Varian Semiconductor (Nasdaq: VSEA) has climbed 6.18 percent;
Novellus Systems (Nasdaq: NVLS) has rallied 5.79 percent; ASML Holding (Nasdaq: ASML) is up 6.95 percent.

Intel shares are up 1.26 percent.

On the whole, the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index is up almost 1 percent.
