As if there wasn’t be enough zombie drama packed within the last few episodes of the CW’s “iZombie,” the Season 1 finale is just on the horizon to raise the stakes. Last we saw our zombie detective Liv (Rose McIver), she was reeling from the murder of her new boyfriend Lowell (Bradley James) while under investigation as the prime suspect in his case. Her former fiancé Major (Robert Buckley) isn’t faring any better and decides to check himself into a mental institution after he hallucinates a home invasion.

The Season 1 finale synopsis teases that Lowell’s murderer, the sleazy zombie Blaine (David Anders), approaches Liv with “an offer she can’t refuse.” Ravi (Rahul Kohli) is still obsessed with his search for a cure, but perhaps there’s headway to be made in the finale. Episode 13 also promises Major a breakthrough brought on by “an unbelievable situation.”

Meanwhile, the finale description also reveals that Steven Weber will reprise the dastardly role of Vaughn Du Clark from episode 10, “Mr. Berserk.” When Ravi put Liv back to work in episode 10, they took on the case of an alcoholic reporter murdered in her apartment. It was revealed that the reporter was following the lead on a case involving a prominent energy drink manufacturer. Liv and Detective Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) quickly realized her murder was no hack job. It looks like new evidence from the energy drink Max Rager case surfaces in the finale.

After the Season 1 finale, Liv will be back for more when “iZombie” returns for Season 2. But the question remains: which of the other major characters will make it to Season 2 with her? Will there be another catastrophic death in the finale?

Find out when the “iZombie” Season 1 finale airs June 9 on the CW at 9 p.m. EDT.
