The Jacksonville Jaguars have gone from playoff long shots to likely division champions in the matter of a few weeks. After beating the New York Jets on "Thursday Night Football" to start Week 16, the Jaguars are clear favorites to finish ahead of the Tennessee Titans for the AFC South title.

The Jaguars' playoff chances improved significantly with Thursday's win. If Jacksonville beats the Houston Texans and the Titans in the final two games of the 2022 season, the Jaguars win the AFC South and are in the playoffs as the conference's No. 4 seed.

Jacksonville is a -185 favorite at FanDuel Sportsbook. Tennessee is an underdog with +150 odds, even though the Titans have a half-game lead on the Jaguars for first place.

The injury to Ryan Tannehill could cost the Titans a playoff spot. Tennessee's quarterback will likely miss the rest of the season because of an ankle injury. Rookie Malik Willis is in line to be the Titans starting quarterback for the final three games. Willis threw for 135 yards total in two starts and has a 47.8 passer rating this season.

The Titans host the Texans in Week 16 and the Dallas Cowboys in Week 17 before visiting Jacksonville in the season finale. The Week 18 matchup could turn into an unofficial AFC South championship game.

The Jaguars beat the Titans 36-22 in Tennessee in Week 14. Trevor Lawrence propelled Jacksonville to a win by completing 30 of 42 passes for 368 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions.

Lawrence has 14 touchdown passes and one interception in the last seven games. The Jaguars have gone 5-2 during that stretch, rebounding from a 2-6 start that seemingly ended their playoff chances.

Jacksonville's hot streak has been coupled with Tennessee's four-game losing streak. The Titans have been defeated by the Jaguars and three teams that are in the Week 16 playoff picture.

The Texans enter Week 16 stuck on one victory. Jacksonville will be favored in its Week 17 matchup against Houston. The Texans' only win of the season, however, did come against the Jaguars.

Tennessee has won two straight AFC South championships. Jacksonville last won the division in 2017 when it reached the AFC Championship Game and almost made it to the Super Bowl.

If the Texans beat the Titans in Week 16, all four AFC South teams will have a losing record.
