Lindsay Lohan was reportedly a terror on “The Canyons” set, but her co-star James Deen has nothing but good to say about the lead actress of his first major motion film.

The porn star-turned-actor has been dispelling rumors left and right that Lohan was a selfish train wreck while filming the Paul Schrader movie.

“She has a unique way of communicating,” he said in an interview with the Daily Beast.

“She’s a child star who’s been living in this fame world being chased by paparazzi. I tried to consider that in every interaction with her, so when she speaks, what could be construed as an insult by some was not necessarily intended to be an insult. It was just her communicating her interpretation of the scene.”

Deen used an example of the “Mean Girls” star asking for some water. Most people would use polite words like “please” and “thank you,” but common manners seem to have eluded Lohan. Deen just chalks it up to the troubled redhead being used to always getting what she wants.

“She was raised in the Hollywood system, so she’s used to a certain level of treatment,” he said. While he can see why people have labeled her as a “bitch” or “whatever,” he believes “her intentions are fine.”

The 26-year-old actor also said Lohan felt uncomfortable doing a four-way sex scene. She wanted the crew to undress also, but they wouldn’t comply with her demands.

At one point Lohan even locked herself in a closet and refused to disrobe before a sex scene, holding up production. But Deen just attributed it to her need to “feel comfortable” since she had never done a sex scene before.

When she tried to make it a “big deal” and no one paid any attention to her, she finally said:

“’When Julia Roberts does topless scenes, she makes the whole crew shoot in their boxers! I want that!' And the whole crew just rolled their eyes and was like, 'We’re not doing that. We’ll do that for ... Julia Roberts, but not you.'”

Eventually the director, Schrader, got Lohan to do the scene by stripping down to his socks and standing in front of the camera, Deen said. After that the starlet hopped on the bed and finished the scene in 15 minutes.

The Daily Beast isn't the only news outlet that Deen spoke to. He also told TMZ that there were no hard feelings between him and Lohan even though she cursed him out on the set. The news site even released audio of the starlet lacing into Deen, but he says it was all in good fun.

"You didn’t hear me laughing on that clip?" he said when questioned by TMZ bout Lohan's outburst.

“The Canyons” is to be released at an unspecified date this year.
