Three months have passed since the deadliest tsunami struck Japan on March 11, 2011. The Japanese media outlets reported that at least 16,000 were dead or missing due to the horrific 8.9 magnitude earthquake. It was announced as the strongest ever in recorded history of geological disasters.

Japanese citizens who lost their homes had to stay in shelters, suffer with water and food shortages, and fight against near-freezing temperatures in the devastated northeast. The immense tsunami desolation included multiple nuclear meltdowns and leaked radiation.

Around 100 days have passed and flowers have begun to bloom as citizens are now returning back to their hometowns.
