Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were photographed together on Thursday near their Brentwood home in Los Angeles. The couple was spotted following rumors of a troubled marriage and a possible impending divorce.

Affleck, 42, and Garner, 43, were also spotted that same day in Santa Monica, where they shared time with daughters Violet, 9 and Seraphina, 6, according to US magazine. Son Samuel, 3, was not with the married couple. The “Batman v. Superman” actor and former “Alias” star have been married for nearly a decade, but unconfirmed reports claim the picturesque marriage may be headed for a rocky divorce and that the two have been spending time apart.

Affleck was reportedly spotted traveling alone to Canada on April 17, Garner’s birthday. Witnesses say he wasn’t wearing a wedding ring. Garner was also photographed having lunch with a friend in Manhattan on May 13, while Affleck was seen gambling at the Venetian in Las Vegas, according to Gawker on Thursday.

Could Affleck’s gambling habit be affecting his marriage? Outlets have been reporting that the actor's love for blackjack may be the root of the issue. Affleck confirmed that he was banned from the blackjack table at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas in September 2014. "That is a true story. I mean, that took place," he told Details magazine. “I took some time to learn the game and became a decent blackjack player. And once I became decent, the casinos asked me not to play blackjack. I mean, the fact that being good at the game is against the rules at the casinos should tell you something about casinos." He denied he had a gambling problem.

Affleck also called his marriage to Garner “work” while accepting his Oscar for “Argo” in 2013. “I want to thank you for working on marriage for 10 Christmases. It’s good, it is work, but it’s the best kind of work, and there’s no one I’d rather work with,” he said.

Garner was formerly married to “Felicity” co-star Scott Foley, but separated in 2003. She met Affleck while filming 2003 superhero film “Daredevil,” in which she played Elektra. The couple married on June 29, 2005 in a private Turks and Caicos ceremony, with only one guest, actor Victor Garber.
