Jennifer Garner recently shared an adorable throwback photo of herself with her two sisters, Susannah Kay Garner Carpenter and Melissa Garner Wylie.

On her Instagram account, the “13 Going On 30” actress dubbed the snap, “The Garner Girls.” The picture was taken on Christmas Day in the 1970’s when they were still very young.

Garner and her siblings looked so much alike when they were just kids. They also had similar-looking dresses on in the picture and had huge smiles on their faces.

At present, Garner already has three children, Violet, 12, Seraphina, 8 and Samuel, 5. The two girls also have a resemblance with their mom and aunts.

In 2015, Garner opened up about what it’s like being the middle child in the family. While speaking with Southern Living, she said, “Being the middle sister of these three girls is the relationship that defines me more than anything else. More than being my kids’ mother, more than being my husband’s wife, I’m first and foremost the middle Garner girl.”

Garner also said that she and her siblings have a very close relationship. In fact, they are always on the phone talking and updating each other about everything.

The “Alias” star said that it was their mom who instilled values in them that they live up to until the present time.

“What my mom did that I valued so much was to not place beauty high on the list of priorities. It was a shock when I got to college to hear people say I was pretty,” she shared.

Garner’s mom, Patricia, also said that as a middle child, the actress was the “clown” of the family.

“I thought Jen would be a writer because she was always making up these little stories… We let the girls do their own thing. I have one daughter who has an MBA, one who is a CPA, and one who is an actress,” she said.

And now that she’s a mom of three, Garner wants to raise her children the same way her parents raised her and her siblings. “I want them to grow up with the Southern values I had,” she said.
