Jimmy Kimmel and his wife Molly McNearney are expecting their first child, the late-night talk show host announced on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” which is scheduled to air Wednesday.

"I'm having a baby... wait I want to finish... with Ellen," Kimmel said. "No, I decided to have the first one with my wife. We got married in July and, you know, it's interesting. It's disgusting the way babies are made."

The show's host Ellen DeGeneres replied: "Good for you. And why is it disgusting?"

Kimmel explained: "Well, there are so many human body parts involved. Did you know there are eggs in us? That's gross just to start with."

The “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” host has two children, daughter Katie, 22, and son Kevin, 20, from his previous marriage with Gina Kimmel.

"I don't know where they are, but I hear they're doing great," he said of his daughter, Katie, and son, Kevin. "No, I have a 20-year-old son and a 22-year-old daughter, and I've really forgotten everything. It's funny because I was just with some friends who just had a baby, I was like, 'Oh yeah.' And there's new ways to do things. You hold them by the front of the neck now it seems."

The 46-year-old star added: “It's weird, at my age. I'm going to be one of those old dads.”

Talking about his unborn child, Kimmel said that it did not matter to him if the baby was a girl or boy. He then spoke about naming is child, saying: “I like the name Karate. I think 'Karate Kimmel' has a great ring to it.”

“And you know, the Kardashians with the two Ks thing, you know, it's nice. But depending on the sex of the baby either 'Karate' or 'the Riddler,'” he said.

“I would like the baby's middle name to be Effin. Now imagine if your middle name [were Effin] and not the curse version of it. Like E-F-F-I-N. 'Ellen Effin Degeneres' ... It immediately gives you self-esteem."
