“Harry Potter” author JK Rowling silenced a Twitter troll who bodyshamed tennis champion Serena Williams on social media, saying she is “built like a man.” Rowling posted seductive pictures of Williams on her Twitter account showing the tennis queen wearing a tight red Victoria Beckham dress, which showed off her ample curves and feminine beauty.

The Twiterrati has, however, resorted to taking sides. A large number of people also agreed with the Twitter user Rob (@diegtristan8) who said: “Ironic then that main reason for her success is that she is built like a man.” The user Rob has several supporters who agree with him that Williams has manly features. “Personally I agree with you! He's definitely the more masculine of the Williams Brothers hehehe‬,” writes one of the Twitter users LibHunter_Kaif Actor.

Others blamed Rowling for using her celebrity status to increase her Twitter fan base. “Agree -- she has a manly physique. Some people will object to anything to raise their fan base!” Fran Bennett tweeted.

The incident started when ‪Rowling praised Williams' win on Twitter saying, “#SerenaSlam‪! I love her. What an athlete, what a role model, what a woman!‬” Her tweet received a reply from Rob who said she was “built like a man.” But Rowling got furious and posted the following: "She is built like a man. Yeah, my husband looks just like this in a dress. You're an idiot. ‪pic.twitter.com/BCvT10MYkI,” said the author on Twitter.

Rowling was supported by many fans of Williams on Twitter who agreed with her. “She's built like a BANGIN' woman ... I concur, JK,” writes one Twitter user while another person added: “Saying a great female athlete is only great because she is like a man is disrespectful to women in general.”

Williams took home the trophy after winning her Women's Final match against Garbine Muguruza of Spain at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships in London. She was flooded with congratulatory messages from around the world.
