ABC is developing I'm With Stupid, a multicamera comedy series starring Judy Greer.

Based on Elaine Szewczyk's novel, Stupid centers on Manhattan-born and -bred Kas Sienkiewicz (Greer), who has a fling with a seemingly perfect park ranger while on safari in South Africa. When she returns home, she wonders whether she'll ever hear from him again, only to have him arrive unannounced at her doorstep. She quickly realizes her new roommate has limited intellectual capabilities and learns that what happens on safari should stay on safari.

Szewczyk is co-writing the TV adaptation with feature screenwriter Allan Loeb, whose credits include 21, The Baster and Wall Street 2. He also co-created the Fox drama New Amsterdam.

Stupid marks Greer's return to ABC, where she toplined the single-camera comedy Miss Guided.

Greer recently wrapped the Tom Dey-directed feature Marmaduke and is filming Ed Zwick's Love and Other Drugs. She has voice roles on Nickelodeon's Glenn Martin, DDS and FX's The Archer.
