Ryan Sweeting is seeking spousal support from Kaley Cuoco as indicated on his divorce filing.

The tennis player filed the court documents in response to his former wife’s divorce filing on Oct. 15 in Los Angeles, according to E!News. However, a copy of the divorce document obtained by E! showed a few notable points such as the date of the separation. In Cuoco's divorce documents, the actress stated Sept. 3, while Sweeting indicated Sept. 25, which is also the date when his former wife filed her divorce documents.

Sweeting has checked off the box asking for spousal support and has also requested to terminate the court's ability to award support to Kaley, E!News reported. The tennis player is also asking the “Big Bang Theory” star to pay for his attorney fees. Meanwhile, in Cuoco’s divorce papers, the actress also indicated the need for spousal support and that legal fees will be split between her and former husband Sweeting, as stated in their November 2013 pre-nuptial agreement.

The former Hollywood couple announced their separation last month, after being married for 21 months. Sweeting and Cuoco had a whirlwind romance, having dated for three months before tying the knot in December 2013. A source close to Sweeting speculated on Cuoco’s reason for the split and told Entertainment Tonight that the actress “realized she wants to be with a guy who has a job and is motivated."

Another source told People magazine last month that Cuoco and Sweeting both “seemed miserable” before they divorced. The tension between the two were apparent even on dates nights, said the source.

"The few times Kaley and Ryan were out together recently, the tension was noticeable," the insider stated. “You could tell the honeymoon phase had ended. It seemed they were trying to work out their marriage by going on dates, but they both seemed miserable."
