Kanye West's mental health condition may force him to remain in the hospital for a few more days, TMZ reported Wednesday. The rapper was hospitalized Monday for psychiatric evaluation after he acted "erratically."

West is currently in a bad mental state and will have to stay at UCLA Medical Center until at least week's end, TMZ reported. The "Famous" singer's family wanted him to be home for the Thanksgiving holiday but the chances of him leaving the hospital so soon "looked improbable," sources told TMZ.

West's doctor reportedly told police that he was suffering from a temporary psychosis caused due to sleep deprivation and extreme dehydration.

However, TMZ reported citing an insider that his psychological problems are beyond just that and his insurance policy, which covers lost profits and financial obligations for cancelled concerts due to illness, could cover losses for the 21 concerts West recently cancelled.

Meanwhile, a source told Entertainment Tonight (ET) that West is "doing much better" and that his wife, Kim Kardashian, is supporting her husband 100 percent.

"He just needed some rest," the source told about West. "[Kim] is currently with Kanye right now at his side. Kim feels more connected to Kanye than ever. Their marriage is doing great."

Just days before his hospitalization, West had been making headlines for erratic behavior at his latest shows, before abruptly canceling the rest of his "Saint Pablo" tour Monday.

"It was a combination of a lot of issues: stress, anxiety, paranoia. He just broke," the source previously told ET. "There have been signs recently of him just overwhelmed. Kanye hasn't been himself for a while."
