Just a day after TMZ broke the news that the rapper/singer Chris Brown may have fathered a child with a former model named Nia, Brown’s ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran is speaking out. The model took to Twitter to distance herself from Breezy’s baby-mama drama and wish him the best, writing: “Listen. One can only take so much. The best of luck to Chris and his family. No baby drama for me.”

Tran dated Brown on-and-off for the better part of the past four years. They were spotted together during New York Fashion Week just weeks ago after a nasty breakup via Instagram in December. Brown accused Tran of dating the rapper Drake while the two were still a couple.

There are very few details available about either the 9-month-old child or her mother, but TMZ previously reported that Brown and Nia are on good terms and have known each other for a few years. However, it does not appear a formal child-support agreement has been put in place at this time. Brown is said to be happy about being a father, something he recently revealed he’s wanted to be for quite some time.

During an interview with Power 105.1’s hit morning show “The Breakfast Club” last month, Brown said he fantasized about impregnating both Rihanna and Karreuche, but made no mention of the fact that he may or may not actually have a child. The performer also touched on the idea of marriage and settling down, saying: “I’m cool having a baby. I’m not cool with giving you half of what I’ve earned all my life. Prenups, all that, it’s cool.”

Brown and his team have not yet released a statement regarding the paternity of the child, causing many to doubt that he really is the father. Twitter was overrun with users suggesting the story is a hoax. All the buzz surrounding Brown’ alleged child had “Chris Brown -- Surprise” trending on the microblogging site within minutes of the story being published. Still, all the chatter has not pushed Breezy to share so much as a tweet on the matter, and it is unlikely he will. During his interview with Power 105.1, Brown said he would no longer be discussing personal matters in interviews or via social media.
