KEY POINTS

  • Kate Middleton has been slowly preparing for her royal as a queen
  • The Duchess of Cambridge prefers to do things slow and steady
  • Prince William's wife has been calling organizations amid the coronavirus pandemic

All the work that Kate Middleton has previously done has prepared her for her future role as the queen of Britain.

While speaking with Express, royal expert Marlene Koenig said that the Duchess of Cambridge has been doing behind the scenes work for several years now, which includes meeting with her charities to discuss future projects.

“I think she prefers the slow and steady kind of work, taking on work more slowly, but surely. I admit that I had been hoping to see more activity in the past few years, and now, that is happening. I think Catherine does feel more confident – and willing – to do more public engagements, and not just in London. It is a good thing to be doing engagements in Northern Ireland and Scotland — and on her own, which is very important as the next-but-one-Queen Consort,” she said.

Meanwhile, Middleton also made headlines this week after her photo inside Kensington Palace was shared on her official Instagram account.

On Saturday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge posted about the importance of prioritizing one’s mental health while practicing self-isolation and social distancing. The lengthy post was accompanied by separate photos of Prince William and Middleton contacting organizations and patronages to understand the issues that they are facing amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“Last week, The Duke spoke to @mindcharity CEO Paul Farmer, and The Duchess spoke to Catherine Roche, CEO of @_place2be. Today Public Health England has published new guidance to help support people during the COVID-19 outbreak, and updated its world-leading Every Mind Matters platform, with specific advice on maintaining good mental wellbeing during the outbreak; visit the link in our bio to find out more,” they captioned the snap.

Prince William’s photo shows him with the phone in his hand and his legs crossed. Middleton’s snap shows her holding a pen on her left hand while talking on the phone.
