Kate Middleton’s Brother James Middleton And Girlfriend Donna Air Break Up

Kate Middleton’s younger brother James Middleton broke up with Donna Air, his girlfriend of two years, according to reports Thursday. The two split a “couple of weeks ago,” a source told the Sun newspaper.

According to James’ friends, the 28-year-old was not ready to settle down. Donna was “devastated” by the split, Metro reported.

“The split happened a couple of weeks ago and it was James’ decision. Poor Donna. She’s more than a little bit heartbroken. But he just didn’t think it was going to go the distance. And I think his family were always very anti her being the future Queen of England’s sister-in-law,” the former couple’s friend told the Sun.

Donna, who has a daughter with ex-boyfriend businessman Damian Aspinall, apparently confirmed about the break up on her Instagram account Wednesday. She posted a photo with a message that read: "Accept what is, let go of what was, have faith in what will be (even those itchy ears)."

James, a businessman, and television presenter Donna were spotted together on several occasions. In 2013, he dismissed rumors about the couple’s plans to get engaged. “Am I getting married? What a ridiculous question! Um, we’re enjoying our relationship as it is now,” he reportedly said at the time.
