If nothing else, Katherine Heigl tells it like it is and, boy, does she hate balls.

The actress is out to change the world with her I Hate Balls campaign, to promote animal neutering. She just launched the campaign with a PSA for the Web site ihateballs.com.

In the hilarious video, Heigl quips about her work with the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation, promoting animal causes - specifically neutering.

A lot of people say to me 'Katherine, you promote neutering so much, you must really love animals' and I'm like 'Yea [shrugs], they're okay I guess,' she says.

But the real reason I'm so pro-neutering is... I hate balls.

Heigl goes on to explain that she does not mean tennis balls or yoga balls but male testicles, terrible, terrible testicles.

The melodramatic, tongue-in-cheek PSA is complete with string quartet background music, as Heigl strolls through a studio.

Won't you join me in this quest? she asks. Balls are... [choking] Oh, God, I'm sorry.

The 33-year-old goes on to explain the cons of balls. There are no pros, she says.

Heigl partnered with Funny or Die to make the video to promote her campaign to help animals. After all, humor is one of the best ways to grab attention.

I Hate Balls is targeted towards bringing awareness to the spaying/neutering of animals, which is a simple and effective means of stopping the killing of animals in shelters.

So fight the good fight, Heigl says, and support I Hate Balls. Individuals can text, donate and buy I Hate Balls gear on the Web site. Funds raised from this campaign will benefit the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation, which is dedicated to ending the needless suffering inflicted on animals by human cruelty, indifference and ignorance.
