With her marriage to Tom Cruise behind her, Katie Holmes has moved on to single life and is back in touch with old "Dawson's Creek" castmate Jousha Jackson.

Holmes, 33, was reportedly dealing with Cruise, 50, and his “ways,” but when he reportedly wanted to send their 6-year-old daughter Suri off to a Scientology camp, Holmes had had enough.

Since their split, Holmes has been seen in public more often—frolicking with a happy Suri and even premiering some garments at New York’s fashion week in mid-September.

Now that Holmes has had some time to herself and child, no longer under Cruises “Zenu-ruled” thumb, could love be in the air?

Perez Hilton is reporting that Holmes has gotten in contact with her former “Dawson’s Creek” castmate and friend Joshua Jackson.

Jackson, 35, spoke to celebrity blogger Perez Hilton and explained that the two castmates briefly chatted:

"Like any old friend, it was like, 'Oh, hi how are ya? What's going on?'; 'I had a kid.' [The chat] was very nice, actually."

Okay, so there’s nothing salacious about a “Hi, how are you” chat, but you never know where it could lead.

Even if it’s not going to lead to a romance, it could be the beginning of getting the “Dawson’s Creek” cast back together for a reunion movie.

Perez Hilton reported that “The Skulls” actor Jackson is vehemently against the idea, but maybe his old pal “Joey” could convince him.

Maybe a “Dawson’s Creek” reunion movie would help bring Holmes back to her former self before she got mixed up with Tom Cruise.

"[Producers] were begging her to sign on for a reunion movie," a source told Us Weekly. "Tom said absolutely no way and thought going backward would be bad." But Holmes "didn't care how 'low-brow' he [thought] Dawson's Creek is," the source explained. "She wanted to do the movie and reconnect with her fans. And have fun."
