Kenya's KenGen says H1 pretax profit up 11 pct

Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen) posted an 11 percent rise pretax profit to 1.28 billion shillings for its first-half ended December, it said on Monday.

The firm said total revenue from electricity sales rose to 6.34 billion shillings from 4.3 billion previously, while earnings per share rose to 0.41 shillings from 0.39 shillings.
