Khloé Kardashian admits that she has Photoshopped a picture of herself, but she says there’s a good reason behind it.
The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star came under fire in February when she posted a post-workout picture of her flaunting her abs for the camera. The reality star was trying to show off her weight loss progress but instead was attacked by fans who noticed that she had altered her thigh, which caused a door behind her to bend at an awkward angle. On Monday, Khloé took to her website and app (via Cosmopolitan magazine) and explained that she altered the image because her right leg is thinner than the left.
Kardashian, 31, revealed that the difference in her legs is due to a scary car accident from when she was 16. “Whenever I post a picture of my legs on Instagram, everyone comments on how f--ked up my knees look. It’s because I’ve had reconstructive surgery, you a--holes,” she wrote.
The E! star said the accident and resulting surgeries made the muscles in her right leg deteriorate, which is why she’s sometimes seen wearing a knee brace when she works out. “I was trying to make my thinner leg look bigger to match my other leg!!! All I want are big, thick thighs and I hate how skinny my legs are,” Khloé wrote.
According to the outspoken reality star, the accident was so bad that her head and upper body went through the windshield of the car she was driving and her legs were pinned underneath the steering wheel. Khloé said she spent six months on crutches and had a leg brace that went from her ankle to her upper thigh. “I had a neck brace, burns all over my body and had to take showers sitting in a chair,” she wrote.
As previously reported, Khloé eventually deleted the photo in question and replaced it with the unaltered one, writing in the caption: “If only hatin burned calories how dope yall would be. Too bad it doesn’t. Here’s the OG shot. The petty movement ain’t cute. Oh and I almost forgot… Namaste.”
Last year, Khloé also lashed out at fans after they criticized a picture of her knee, tweeting, “For those of you commenting about how my knees look funny … I have had three major surgeries. One was reconstructed due to a car accident when I was 16. So yes, my knee will always look funny but I’m healthy.”
