Khloé Kardashian-Lamar Odom Update: Star Throws Husband Birthday Party After Reputed Hospital Fight, Source Says

“Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star Khloe Kardashian celebrated Lamar Odom’s birthday in a big way: The reality-television star reportedly plans to pay for all his current medical bills, Radar Online wrote in an exclusive report Friday.

Kardashian, 31, has been by Odom’s side since he was hospitalized Oct. 13. They both agreed to call off their divorce, and now she wants to foot the bill, which is supposedly millions, the site said. Even though Odom technically has more money than Kardashian -- he has an estimated net worth of $50 million, and she has an estimated net worth of $20 million -- his fortune has dwindled in the two past years.

“Lamar is still a rich man on paper, but he’s cash-poor because most of his savings are tied up,” an insider told Radar Online. “He burned through an absolute fortune on drugs and hookers this past year or two, so finding immediate funds for these huge private health-care bills is getting difficult.”

Despite Odom’s spending his money on illegal substances and prostitutes, Kardashian wants to pay for his treatment after he suffered numerous strokes and lost some of his motor skills. “Money is the least of her worries right now -- she just wants Lamar back on his feet as soon as possible,” the source said. “Khloe told them to send her the bill.”

But that’s not the only thing his wife did. Kardashian has invited friends and relatives to his hospital room to celebrate his 36th birthday, People magazine reported Friday. It will supposedly take place in a separate room in the hospital. “It’s just a very small group of people because Lamar cannot handle too much stimulus, but the doctors are allowing a small group for a short time on his birthday,” the source said.

The bash will be complete with a cake, balloons and party hats. “It’s something very small and very short but will make him feel amazing,” the insider said. “Then Khloe will be with him for the rest of the day.”

A birthday party at the hospital tells a much different story than previous reports this week, which said the couple purportedly got into a nasty fight Thursday after Odom supposedly accused Kardashian of using his hospitalization to acquire more fame.
